BIOGRAPHY

Jimmy Goodwin is a classically trained pianist, violinist, vocalist, arranger, sound engineer, and live performer whose career spans international touring, studio production, orchestration, session recording, and high-end live entertainment.

His musical journey began as a chorister at St George's Chapel Choir, Windsor Castle, before continuing at Eton College, where he was awarded a music scholarship for violin, piano, and voice. He later graduated with a degree in classical music and orchestration from the University of Edinburgh.

In his mid-twenties, Jimmy moved to Munich to work at Water's Edge Studios, a leading surround-sound production facility, where he worked as an engineer, session musician, and programmer. During this period he collaborated with international artists including Lou Bega, Faithless, and No Angels, receiving performance credits on violin and piano for several commercial releases. He also composed ringtones and sound design content for Siemens mobile phones, with his work featured on more than half a million devices across Europe.

Returning to the UK, Jimmy immersed himself in both the live and recording scenes in London, working with underground and electronic artists including Lemon D and Dillinja, while building a reputation as a sought-after session musician. His credits include work with All Saints, Shalamar, and The Womacks. As a violinist and arranger with The House & Garage Orchestra, he performed alongside iconic artists from the UK garage and dance scenes including MC Neat, Sweet Female Attitude, Shola Ama, and Lifford.

As a live pianist, Jimmy became one of London's most versatile and in-demand performers, appearing regularly at The Piano Works Farringdon, The Piano Works West End, Players Bar, and Piano Kensington, developing an extensive audience-request repertoire spanning decades and genres.

Internationally, Jimmy has performed for over a decade in Lausanne, Switzerland, and holds a regular residency at the world-famous Byron Bay Piano Bar in Australia. He has appeared with Red Bull Racing at the Monaco, Spanish, and Canadian Grand Prix, with corporate clients including ExxonMobil and other global luxury brands.

Alongside performing, Jimmy works extensively as a live sound engineer, supplying and operating professional audio systems for weddings, corporate events, and private functions across the UK — drawing on both his studio background and decades of live performance experience.

Back home in the UK, he performs regularly with the house band at Musica in Bracknell and organises live entertainment at The Coach & Horses, Croxley Green, while remaining in constant demand for weddings, corporate events, and bespoke private performances.

Jimmy Goodwin brings a rare combination of classical training, technical expertise, and natural showmanship to every stage he steps on.
